Will thick, blunt bangs work for me (pictures of me included)?

First off, I'm asian. Japanese, to be exact.

I have straight black hair that's layered (a short layer at the top and a longer one at the bottom; I think this creates problems because don't layers usually look bad with blunt bangs?). At its longest it's about mid-back length, but I want to get rid of my layers so would that mean I'd have to cut my hair up to the top layer?

My face is oval and I have a large forehead and the individual strands of my hair are pretty thin.

My hair isn't usually like that. I'd braided it the night before so it's all wavy. Usually it's just stick-straight and boring, but I couldn't find a picture of my normal hair, soo...

oh my god honestly i think you will look amazing with bangs and shorter hair. i think if you go with the bangs it will take away from the severity of the short cut and vice versa. i think you have really pretty eyes...and that by cutting the hair shorter, it won't hid them as much...the bangs will look really good. i say go for it! =]

get the thick bangs then cut your hair a bit more shorter.and get it layered

and you'll look gorgeous

because in all terms you have perfectly gorgeous skin and you have gorgeous eyes.

Maybe if your hair was more straight or if your layers stuck out a little more it would look nice. By the way, love your hair color in the picture.

You'd probably have to find a way to thicken the texture of your hair. The picture of the idea you used, the model's hair is more full than yours. So go to a stylist and have them take a look at it. You'd look great with it, it would give you a simple yet chic look.
