How should I dye my hair?

You can check my yahoo profile for my picture and info about who I am. I am just so tired of the same old thing. I need a change in my life! I need a difference from my never ending days of repetition and habit! Dying my hair is one step in the right direction, in my opinion.

I'd like something crazy, but not disgusting. I'm not sure if I want a solid color or chunky dyed parts. The problem is, I have dark hair, so I'm going to need to bleach the hair that will get dyed streaks. I don't want something like simple lighter brown highlights or dark lowlights or whatever. I NEED CHANGE!

Also, I have olive skin, so I'm afraid any hair color will look horrible with my complection. Usually, fair skinned girls with lighter hair look better with dyed hair.

If you need a better picture, say so and I can add one as a detail. And, if you can provide pictures of examples, that would be lovely. Thanks.

If you want solid colours, try dying your whole hair very light blonde that is almost like white maybe like mine.

or you may want to dye it black with a strip of blue or white blonde down your fringe.

and you may want to straighten out your hair and cut it in choppy layers and get a side finge (: i love those with this kind of haircut which is black in whole with a streak of electric blue on the fringe. Sexy and cool (:

i dye my hair different like every season.. guess i feel the need to change with the seasons too ; ) but the trick is to be subtle... you dont wanna look silly!! however i can't really tell with ur yahoo pic. ur hair looks reddish brown i think? i have a natural reddish brown hair color myself and in the winter i dye it chocolate brown-- not sooo different but def a change.. and in the summer i tend to highlight.. good luck!

Something that would look reallllly cool is a bright coloured streak. Like red, or blue, or purple. But if you aren't really keen on dying it permantly like that, you could invest in some clip in bright coloured hair thingies. I got a red one, and believe me, it is AWESOME. It also means I can still look smart for my grandparents...

But please, PLEASE do NOT dye your hair blonde. Although I am blonde myself, I have to say, people who are naturally dark haired, and are not mousy or light brown, should completely avoid blonde at all costs, because it always looks tacky. No matter how well placed or expensive.
