Is short hair good for people with thick hair?

i found a great picture of vanessa anne hudgen's short hair, but my parents thought that having thick hair would ruin the look. i have thick hair but it's really straight because i got my hair chemically straightened. do you think i should still go with the look?

I think that haircut is so cute. I have thicker hair and have had mine cut like that and it looked great. The pro to having thicker hair is you have a little more volume and it really rocked the hairstyle for me. If your hair is really thick, you could get it chemically straightened like you suggested. But, from experience, it took me years of chemically straightening to get mine down a little and now I wish I had some of the poof back. It is your call. Good luck! I am sure you will look great! :)

If you think you can pull it off, go for it! I would keep in mind though that if you don't have the same bone structure and face shape as Vanessa, this style might not work for you. Short bobs on rounder faces don't work as well because they shorten the face. If you have a longer, or more square face, this cut may work for you. My friend has a very square face and her hair is even shorter than that and she looks great! Hope that helps!

you should not have a problem with having this hairstyle but it does depend more on how you hair grows in whether you can have a fringe or not but other wise this style will suit thick or fine hair i am a hairdresser and it is a popular hair cut and the only problem is only ever the fringe and how i grows out of the scalp if you have cowlick it wont sit properly
